Dress Code & Studio Attire
Look the Part,
Dance with Confidence
At Melodic Movements Performing Arts Program, we believe that the right attire helps dancers perform at their best. A proper dress code promotes discipline, enhances technique, and ensures safety, allowing students to move freely while instructors provide the best corrections. We ask that all dancers adhere to the following guidelines to maintain a professional, polished, and unified look in class.
General Dress Code Guidelines
Hair: Must be neatly secured away from the face in a bun or ponytail for all classes. This ensures visibility and prevents distractions.
Jewelry: No jewelry, except for small stud earrings, is permitted for safety reasons.
Undergarments: Dancers should wear appropriate dancewear without visible undergarments to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Supportive Wear: If needed, dancers may wear a black sports bra under leotards and tights.
Footwear: Dance shoes should be clean and designated for indoor use only to protect our floors and ensure the best performance.
Mask Policy: If required, students must wear an all-black mask for uniformity and safety.

To help your dancer feel comfortable and ready to move, we kindly ask that all students follow the dress code. If a dancer isn’t in the correct attire, they may be asked to observe class that day so they can fully participate next time!
Please Note
Class-Specific Attire
Each dance style has a specific uniform to promote movement, technique, and studio unity. Please ensure your child is dressed according to their class requirements.
To ensure the best quality and uniformity, we recommend purchasing tights and other studio-approved dancewear from Blendz Apparel.
